
Learning to run by using a tennis ball for focus
Today was a great day and I tried to run for the first time. It was such hard work but didn't fall over, thankfully. I go back to the Olympic Medical Centre next week for more intense physio. It has been a good week training and I leg pressed 180kg for five sets of six reps which is not too bad after only seven weeks off walking sticks. I feel I am starting to get it back...
I cant stress how lucky i am to be in a system that as given me the best support and rehab that you cant get - It is due to this and the trust I have in all these people that is helping me move on so much.
The constant exercises and mental training is paying off massively.
I try not to look to much in mirrors as I still find it hard to come to terms with what has happened - but I also know that if I put in the work I will be rewarded. Just got to push hard every day and keep dreaming and setting goals.
My body still feels very strange and have lots of horrible sensations that make life rather uncomfortable.
