Hours on the bike on my own
This ball drill is using 3 balls and working on co-ordination and developing my neural system. If it looks easy give it a try and see how you get on...... Had great fun doing these drills with Andrew and could feel progression all the time which gave me even more drive.

The ladder and ball drills were used to improve my neural patterns - This was great and really helped my daily life and walking - I found it very hard to work out where the ground was on these drills and running was almost impossible. I certainly found all these drills helped so much in my recovery and were lots of fun. You can see progress which is great for motivation and keeping rehab fun is crucial.

Ball training
Desire is my drive - The desire to be fully fit and healthy again and competing for GB.......... I have never been so focused on anything before and I know how lucky I was not just from the Tumour but the Blood clot in my neck which could have had the worst ever result... Laying on the hospital bed not knowing what was going to happen to me was the scariest thing ever, but now I see where I am and think how far I have come from my 1st physio sessions with the Manor hospital physio staff where I could hardly walk to now doing all these SAQ drills with Andrew in under 5 months..... I sit and think most days and just cant get it all to sink in..... I guess when you come so close to not knowing what life will be like and laying in that hospital bed for a month, it really makes you think how lucky we all are to have our health........ Look after it as you only get one body!!!!!
The video above is all ways of  rebuilding and training my neural system, they are all focused on coordination, balance, feeling, and movement patterns to challenge my mind and body. This training has improved my walking and daily life and without doubt making me a better athlete....
The catching balls is so much harder than it looks, give it a try and you will see...........

This style of exercise is very functional to everyday life as well as sports performance and have been very challenging in so many ways. However they are very enjoyable and you can see instant progress and results.

Bobsleigh days - Dont think I will ever be doing that again with this left arm

About to start week 4 of a really intense block of training that has been set out for me. The first 3 weeks have went well and made such big jumps forward. I am in a place now where I dont even feel that I had those opearations only 4/5 months ago. My mind has blocked them out and I am going forward and dying to get back on water soon.  Still a day does not go past where i know how lucky I am, and I love every time I hurt during training now as it tells me am alive and getting into shape again....
Looking forward to watching all my friends compete this winter across the world chasing their dreams Like we should all do everyday......
